About the Program

The Kinetic Sculpture class is one of our seasonal programs that brings together Artists from 40th Street AIR (Artists in Residence) and Neighborhood Bike Works youth to conceptualize, design, and build a kinetic sculpture in time for the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby that happens every May.  Last year was a big success and we hope to have as much creative energy and enthusiasm to build in 2013!

NBW WINS the Judge's Choice Award at the 2012 Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby!

NBW accepts the award.  From left to right:  Board Member Marisa Falcon, Executive Director Erin DeCou, South Philly Shop Manager Carol Borek, and Volunteer Extrodinaire Jesse Delaney.
