Last weekend NBW helped out with the Freedom Valley Bike Ride 2009. Andy Dyson and Rakheim Crawford were stationated on the Schuykill River Bike Trail at Lloyd Hall, working from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM along with mechanics from REI, Guys Bicycles, Danzeisen & Quigley, and other volunteers. We pumped up tires and checked bikes for the hardy riders who showed up for the ride in the rain.

Hey NBW youth, get excited for the next Leadership Group meeting – Monday, June 29th, 2 pm - 4 pm at the Haddington Shop on 60th and Vine. If you want to ride over from the 40th st shop, meet there at 1pm.

What’s the Leadership Group?
The Leadership Group is a reincarnation of NBW’s Youth Congress — a group of youth who make decisions about rules at NBW, consequences of breaking rules, and general priorities for the youth programs. They are the voice of the students. The Leadership Group also plans specific projects, including fundraising events and entrepeneurship activities.
