Summer Camp at Neighborhood Bike Works is going to be amazing this year… with your help! We are looking for volunteers of all types to help out with the Camp, and you can volunteer just for one event, for one two-week session or for the whole summer. All interested volunteers should contact camp director Cat Bergeron at 215-386-0316 or cat@neighborhoodbikeworks.org

In particular, we’re planning some SPECIAL FIELD TRIPS that will require some SPECIAL VOLUNTEERS.

dscn0745We’re calling all cartographers, nature lovers, and historians looking for a super fun and educational way to spend a morning or afternoon in the woods and an opportunity to share some knowledge with some young people!

For a map making and nature walk in the Belmont Plateau, we’re looking for those experienced in map making (GPS or Scout-style compasses), plant and tree identification, wild crafting, and local history.

We also need some of our finest artists to help young campers with Silk Screening and Bike Part Art projects!

For those horse lovers, we will hopefully be visiting some local stables and are looking for some volunteers to lend a hand.

The camp has four sessions, so each of these trips will be repeated four times. You can volunteer for one, some or all the trips, it’s up to you. All interested volunteers should contact Cat Bergeron at 215-386-0316 or cat@neighborhoodbikeworks.org.

Thanks everyone! See you this summer.
