1996 Bicycle Coalition founds Youth Cycle & Recycle.
1999 NBW incorporates as an independent organization.
"Bike Church" adult repair co-op opens to raise funds & train volunteers for youth programs.
2000 NBW receives 501(c)3 non-profit status.
Headquarters move to basement of St. Mary's Church.
NBW joins Haddington Youth Opportunities Initiative.
2002 First annual Summer Day Camp enrolls 64 youth.
Haddington Neighborhood Shop opens at 60th & Vine.
Partnership with Lamberton Beacon program begins.
2003 First annual Bike Parts Art Show held in June.
2004 Two new programs launched: Youth Leadership Group & pediatrician-designed Eight Weeks to Fitness.
NBW joins Philly chapter of STEPS to a U.S. initiative.
2005 Leadership students write successful grant proposal for Entrepreneurial Program selling refurbished bikes.
Mural Arts Program's Youth Mural Corp works with NBW students to create a giant new indoor mural.
2006 Look for an additional location, a student-led effort to improve workspace, and our most exciting year yet!
