essay on bicycle safety
I think one of the most important things to watch out for when riding in the streets is if you are riding you want to make sure that the driver of a car behind you is aware you are in front of him so an accident could not occur. The second thing that you might want to watch out for is the equipment on your bike. Make sure that your brakes are okay and that there is not a problem with the steering wheel because if your brakes start to cause a problem then you can steer in a direction for you to be safe. Okay, now the steering wheel and the brakes are not the only thing that needs to be checked before you ride your bike somewhere. Make sure you don't have a flat tire. Even though you think it's not important riding on it can cause more serious problems.
There are other things to watch out for like the different
gears and chains. Check out the gears before riding to be on the
safe side. Now check out the chains. The chains act like the accelerator
in a car. They are an important part of the bike. Turn the bike
upside down and turn the pedals like a crank to make sure the
chain and wheels move. You should also have a foot brake. It may
not sound interesting to use but it has saved many lives,
